For the Daddies

pexels-photo-105952.jpegFather’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children. Although it is celebrated on different dates worldwide, most countries observe this day on the third Sunday in June.

We think it’s time for the dads to get their dues! So, this June we, at Little Events, are gathering the community to celebrate dads.

Mark your calendar for the 2nd of June. Dads, moms, families, kids, teens, grandparents, friends & neighbours, we have something for everyone.

There will be food, yes, lots of it, and there will be crafts, fun activities and cute little things that you can buy. Stay tuned to know more!

Admission: Free

To participate: Vendors/ service providers, do email us at littleeventssg@gmail.com

Meanwhile, here are some fun facts on Father’s Day.

  • Experts believe the word “dad” dates back to the 16 century.
  • Neckties are the most popular gift for Father’s Day
  •  In Australia, the first Sunday of September is observed as Father’s Day, while Finnish people celebrate the holiday on the second Sunday of November. In Thailand, Father’s Day is observed on Dec. 5.
  •  Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, is credited with starting Father’s Day after hearing a sermon on Mother’s Day. Dodd wanted to honour her father William Jackson Smart, a widower who raised six children on his own.

The Journey Begins

Little Events logo

Events bring people together. They create a feeling of well being, provide networking opportunities, and give a chance to bond with the community. Events also bring down barriers, and allow us to create a society that’s more inclusive. We have begun a journey to do just that!

Little Events, the company, loves all things local, and aims to create enriching and experiential opportunities to bring people together. We take great pride in organising events that are smaller, simpler, and meaningful. So, whether it is a local crafts bazaar, an art gathering, a parenting fair,  educational event or a CSR corporate event, we keep it warm and informal.

We are always on the lookout for like-minded people to collaborate with. So, reach out to us if you are a vendor, service provider, venue provider or a corporation looking for a customised event. Currently, we are looking for home grown brands and family focused serviced providers. Do contact us at littleeventssg@gmail.com.

See you around!
